There are a lot of people out there right now using laser skin resurfacing as a way to make their skin a lot more smooth and also improve the elasticity in their face.
This process has been looked upon as an excellent way to go as an alternative to receiving Botox or getting a facelift.
Since it is a much less invasive type of rejuvenation of the face, it has really become popular recently and more and more people are finally giving it a try.
The results that people are experiencing are truly incredible and anyone who has undergone this procedure will tell you that it is truly life changing.
And most important of all is it’s an excellent way to remove those unwanted acne scars that have plagued you for so long.
Just like many other young people in the world today, I experienced terrible acne as a teenager and it felt like I was a victim of a never-ending plague. But fortunately for me, I can say that it definitely has come to an end now that 15 years have gone by and all of my pimples are finally gone.
Unfortunately, the damage was already done so I had plenty of scars and discoloration on my face due to all of the breakouts that I experienced when I was much younger. These reminders of my past experience were also detracting from my appearance and I can’t say that I was happy about it.
Even though I tried a lot of scar removal products that were supposed to smooth my skin none of them seemed to work for me. That’s when my dermatologist highly recommended that I begin to look into laser skin resurfacing as an option to get my looks back.
Do you think I looked into laser skin resurfacing? You bet I did. I even made an appointment right away so I could have a consultation with a local cosmetic surgeon. The surgeon said that I would be able to see remarkable improvement after only getting a one-day treatment which was music to my ears.
That sold me completely and I was given a cream that I had to apply for about a week leading up to my laser skin resurfacing treatment. The cream was there as a way to prepare my face for the treatment that I was about to receive. The surgeon also provided me with medication that I had to take as a way to reduce any infection that might occur after the procedure.
I was sedated lightly with a topical anesthetic and completely awake during the procedure. This anesthetic worked wonders because I hardly felt a thing and the closest sensation that I noticed felt like a slight rubber band being snapped across my cheek.
When the procedure was finished I was definitely surprised at what I saw in the mirror immediately after. I was bright red and crusty and it took a while for my skin coloration to return to normal. But by the time one and a half months had passed I was very happy with the procedure and you couldn’t even tell that I ever had acne scarring after it was done.
I highly recommend laser skin resurfacing for those who have unsightly acne scars and want to get rid of them forever.
